We've got ourselves a brass band by Jack Tasker

Brass Band.JPG

Last weekend we were joined at Stirchley Baths by the City of Birmingham Brass Band to help in the recording of our third album.

The track ‘Until You Can’t Run Anymore’ is probably going to be the album closer and is definitely going to make you cry your eyes out. It’s an epic of Elbow proportions.

We’ll be announcing the release date for the album soon and then a tour to boot.

Big love

I'm Broken, But I'm Fine released today by Jack Tasker

Today is the day - I'm Broken, But I'm Fine has been released to the world. You can buy it physically via our store by clicking here, downloading it from Bandcamp by clicking here or streaming it from Apple Music, Spotify etc.

It's been a whole year since we started working on the project. The process of writing, recording and creating is a glorious one and we're so happy to have made it through this second album to tell the tale and release the record. We want to thank our families, friends and the other musicians who chipped in along the way.

Get yourself a copy and let us know what you think.

Sea of Tranquility by Jack Tasker

We're at the start of something glorious now. Album number two is being mixed, mastered and gently caressed by Tom Bath of UTC, Stoke. We've heard a few snippets and it sounds immense.

You're going to be hearing a slice of this album very soon, so keep your ears ready. As you've picked up from some of our artwork, this album is leaving planet Earth behind and searching the skies for something more.

In the meantime you might want to start getting our live dates in your diary.

Big love,

End of year note and confirmed for Congleton Unplugged 2017 by Jack Tasker

Our year is over now, we're heading back to shore to tidy up the good ship Ishmael. We've had a fantastic year touring Underdog Songs across the country and working on its currently untitled follow up - due for release in early 2017. Thank you to everyone who came out to show, bought a CD or streamed our tracks.

Early January will see us wrapping up the new album, recording the final bits of instrumentation and vocals. No exact date on the release of the album, but it won't take us long.

We're excited to announce that we're playing at Congleton Unplugged 2017. Our slot is Friday 3 March at the Bear Town Tap.
