DCMI are hitting the road again in the Autumn and Winter of 2019, playing up and down the UK, with a few special themed shows thrown in. More on that later in the week when we release our tour poster and dates.

The first night of the tour has been announced and it’s a Birmingham headline at The Flapper. You can join the Facebook event page or jump straight to buying tickets.

Our drummer for this gig will be the incredible Ash Clay, who has been helping us out this year in Sophie’s absence.

See you there!

What an amazing weekend! We played two incredible shows, headlining Friday night in Birmingham and then an opening slot at The Underground on Saturday night. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and came out on some very wet and cold nights.

The running project that Gary and JT have started was meant to have its first chapter completed on Sunday morning, but due to the rubbish weather the Stafford Half Marathon has been pushed back to April. However, we did manage to record some documentary interviews that will form the backbone of the film about running and being in a band.

We are back live on May 1 at The Glebe, Stoke and then Lymelight Festival a few days later. We're starting work on our next batch of songs, with a view to release a single in the next couple of months.

You're going to do what!? by Jack Tasker

This weekend is going to be another glorious slice of Ishmael action.

Last call for tickets to our gig on Friday (16 March) at The Victoria, Birmingham. Buy them from our store or ask us to put some behind the door for you. Oh and if you can't make Friday then come to our gig the following day in Stoke at The Underground, you'll be needing tickets for that one as well.

Just one other thing. On Friday we're starting work on a crazy project. Frontman Gary Wilcox and axeman JT will be running a number of half marathons (and some assorted 10ks etc) in 2018 whilst creating an accompanying mini-documentary that looks at the parallels between long distance running and being in an independant pop band. No jokes, there are A LOT.

There are a number of reasons for wanting to do this, but probably the most important is that we wrote a song about running for our last album, so there's definitely some cross over that will create mad dollar for the band. Somehow.

We will tell you more on Friday. See you there.

Surviving Storm Ishmael by Jack Tasker

The band were an emotional wreck on Friday. We had members stranded on the mean streets of Kings Heath, others carrying all their gear on the train and a saviour in the very likely shape of Adrian Tasker who battled the elements to get two of the band to Congelton Unplugged. Our gig for the festival was great, a tight blast through two 45 minute sets of our acoustic tunes.

Stressful start aside this weekend was a high point for the band. Throughout Saturday we wrote and demo'd new material - including the blistering 'Blood is Thicker', which will be released as single in the coming months. In the evening we played a packed show at the Market Vaults, with support from the king of Stoke-on-Trent Merrym'n

Saturday's gig was amazing and we're really thankful for all those who braved the rubbish weather to come and listen to us. We hope you enjoyed it?

Next stop is a headline slot in Birmingham on Friday 16 March at the Victoria (TICKETS) and then the day after we're at The Underground in Stoke (TICKETS).

Come down to either of these if you can.
