What an amazing weekend! We played two incredible shows, headlining Friday night in Birmingham and then an opening slot at The Underground on Saturday night. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and came out on some very wet and cold nights.
The running project that Gary and JT have started was meant to have its first chapter completed on Sunday morning, but due to the rubbish weather the Stafford Half Marathon has been pushed back to April. However, we did manage to record some documentary interviews that will form the backbone of the film about running and being in a band.
We are back live on May 1 at The Glebe, Stoke and then Lymelight Festival a few days later. We're starting work on our next batch of songs, with a view to release a single in the next couple of months.
It's been a great year for the good ship Ishmael. We released an album in May that has been well received by people and has set a standard for what comes in 2018.
On Tuesday 5 December we will be playing our last gig of the year at The Glebe in Stoke. Support will be in the shape of Jay Johnson. Come down and celebrate with us.
