Last gig of the Saint Ishmael tour tomorrow. by Jack Tasker

We’re sad to see the end of the Saint Ishmael tour - it’s been a blast that’s only gotten better from show to show. As a band we’ve changed during the three months we’ve been on and off the road, literally in terms of members coming and going, but also in terms of our music and playing style. It’s been great and we can’t wait to do it all again later in the year.

To wrap the tour up in style we’ll be finishing with a gig at The Glebe in Stoke for the well known Choose Days at The Glebe gig series. We’ve got support from Nick Sharratt at 21:00 and then we’ll go on about a half hour after that. It’s free so you have NO excuse to get down there, ready to celebrate with us.

There’s a Facebook event with gig details.

See you there.

We’re thrilled to announce Mollie Coddled is going to be our support for our York show at the end of the month.

Hailing from the North, Mollie Coddled is a solo lofi/ dream pop guitarist and singer from York. Being heavily influenced by the bedroom pop scene, Mollie records and produces all of her songs in her bedroom, making her music feel more intimate.

To get a ticket, please head to our store. See you March 30.

Tickets for York show - March 30 by Jack Tasker

York Ticket.jpg

York is a very special place for a lot of the band. We’ve got really close friends there and it’s where TASKRZ (a sizeable portion of DCMI) cut their gigging teeth years ago.

With all that in mind we’re pumped that our tour is taking us to the Spark CIC in York on Saturday 30 March. We don’t have a support confirmed yet, but will do soon.

If you’re interested in coming along please buy a ticket via our web store.

See you there,

The Saint Ishmael tour is going swimmingly. We’ve played four gigs so far and they’ve all been belters. We’re grateful to everyone who’s come out and watched a show, bought a record or had a boogie. Those who’ve done all three are true dukes.

In the coming weeks we’ve got Birmingham [TICKETS] Fri March 8, Sheffield [FACEBOOK EVENT] Friday March 29 and York [TICKETS] Saturday March 30. You can see the April and May dates of the tour on our gigs page.

See you on the road,

DCMIAug2018.jpg

This Saturday (August 11) is something truly special. We are very lucky to be the last band to play whilst the Market Vaults, Stafford (spiritual home of DCMI offshoot Taskrz) whilst it us under the management of the wonderful Oli Kendall. Oli has championed original and interesting live music at the Vaults for years now, so we really want to give him an incredible send off. There are bands on throughout the day, so you could come down to the Vaults and make a day of it:

17.00 - Keshanadram

19.30 - Big Joe Bone

21.20 - Don't Call Me Ishmael

See you down there,

You're going to do what!? by Jack Tasker

DCMI Running Tour.jpg

This weekend is going to be another glorious slice of Ishmael action.

Last call for tickets to our gig on Friday (16 March) at The Victoria, Birmingham. Buy them from our store or ask us to put some behind the door for you. Oh and if you can't make Friday then come to our gig the following day in Stoke at The Underground, you'll be needing tickets for that one as well.

Just one other thing. On Friday we're starting work on a crazy project. Frontman Gary Wilcox and axeman JT will be running a number of half marathons (and some assorted 10ks etc) in 2018 whilst creating an accompanying mini-documentary that looks at the parallels between long distance running and being in an independant pop band. No jokes, there are A LOT.

There are a number of reasons for wanting to do this, but probably the most important is that we wrote a song about running for our last album, so there's definitely some cross over that will create mad dollar for the band. Somehow.

We will tell you more on Friday. See you there.
